I don't see a hybrid as having the torque you're looking for, no.

"From a public safety standpoint, they are a whole different thing when in a bad crash. Ask a firefighter who has dealt with a hybrid involved in a crash/fire."

What was cool about it was that it was a prototype, and a "mule" at that. Very very weird car.
