Geez, the news sure has been bleak for the Xterra lately.

Here are the most recent sales figures:

In the United States in October of 2007, Nissan sold 4,883 new Xterras. For October, 2008, the number plunged to 1,136. For those of you keeping score at home, that's a drop of over 75%.

Wow. To someone like me who remembers people waiting weeks to pay over sticker, that's an astonishing number. A bloodbath.

I have to think there are some awesome deals to be had right now.
