I don't think so. You can do a lot of repairs for $4k. And in cash-strapped times like these, you are prolly better off with the money.

One thing you should check on is the "in-service date" of these two. A dealer has to put the VINs in the computer, and that tells you when the warranty starts, thus when it ends. The powertrain has a 5 year/ 60K mile warranty, starting the day it was registered. It might be a good time to make freinds with your local Nissan dealer's service dept. Bring donuts, say hello, and have them run the VINs for you. Also they may have some good advice.
