Hi Karen,

The parents of Jabez were Caleb c.1838 Locksmith of Short Heath Staffs & Susannah Squire m.Jun q 1861 Wolverhampton.

Calebs parents were Joseph Bp.02/02/1810 Lane Head, Willenhall,Staffs & Susannah Salt.

Josephs parents were John Bp.29/07/1784 Willenhall & Elisabeth Meredith c.1787.

There is controversy among researchers over who Johns parents were, could be William c.1735 & Phoebe Tuckley or Humphrey & Elisabeth Smith who had a son John Bp.21/09/1788.
