Hello, I think I am related to Clarissa and William. One of their sons, Frederick ended up in Old Bailey for robbery with three other convicts and was transported to Van Diemen's Land (now known as Tasmania) There he gained permission to marry Eliza Howis, who was also transported as a convict for robbery with her two sons. One died from the dysentery that most of women and children convicts suffered from. Frederick and Eliza had many children, one of which is my great grandfather, John Alfred Butler. I live in Australia in Melbourne, but my grandmother spent most of her life in New Zealand in Auckland.
