Date Posted: 18:06:48 07/03/04 Sat ![]() ![]() .:name:. Excalibur .:breed:. Shire .:gender:. Stallion .:height:. 18.1hh .:color:. Bay .:age:. 6 .:personality:. This stallion is basically a living bulldozer. Contrary to the predominantly docile and willing temperament of the shire, Excalibur is rather roguish and set on his ways. Built purely upon 1300kg of muscle and bone, he knows he¡¯s strong and will use that power to get whatever he wants, or refuse what he doesn¡¯t want. To make things even better, Excalibur has almost no respect for humans, big, small, young or old. Head-strong to the brink of straight out stubbornness, it takes a lot of effort on the human¡¯s part to get this massive giant to quit what he was doing and do what they want him to do. Nevertheless, when nobody¡¯s watching {or so he thinks} he¡¯s calm, playful and protective. Of what? His companion of course! Unlike most other horses, Excalibur hasn¡¯t been known to easily attach to someone, partly because he already has a buddy, namely a grey Goshawk that follows him around everywhere. Even in battle, this magnificent bird of prey stays close by and sometimes even contributes by gouging out eyes, clawing out chunks of skin, getting in the horse¡¯s face and so on. Now if you could get the stallion to listen to you, you¡¯d have a powerful, fearless, cooperative fighting machine at your disposal. {Good luck with that} .:conformation for racing:. Excalibur was bred for hand to hand battle where other horses and riders are within striking distance. He is capable of traveling over astonishingly long distances at a trot or a slow canter, but more than a day of traveling at a full out gallop without rest will start to effect his ability to perform. Other than that, his head is small and fine in proportion to the size of his body, with a pronounced jaw, a rather convex profile and a broad forehead. His long ears are lean and sensitive, his soulful brown eyes large and prominent. As expected of shires, this stallion has a large barrel with longs legs which have lush feathering below the knee and the hock. The neck is quite long, slightly arched into a fluid line, muscular, and well set up to give him a commanding appearance; the withers are fairly wide and continue the line of the neck, the back short, the croup sloping but not too powerful. His chest is broad and surprisingly muscular, the shoulder long, deep and sloping. The long legs are well-muscled and the joints are broad, the cannons fairly long, the pasterns short, and the foot sound. .:lameness/health:. He is perfectly sound and should remain so if cared for properly. .:vices:. Utter disrespect for humans, so watch your step. He¡¯s also incredibly attached to Tialys, the grey Goshawk, so make sure they have constant access to each other. If either of them can¡¯t sense each other close by for more than two hours¡¦ one word to describe the scenario? Havoc. .:password:. The Black Stallion ![]() .:name:. Tialys .:breed:. Grey Goshawk .:gender:. Female .:measurements:. Length- 59 cm Wing span- 110 cm Flight speed- up to 38mph .:color:. Pure white .:age:. 3 .:personality:. The grey Goshawk by nature is generally a bold and persistent hunter, flying swiftly and directly in pursuit of its prey, and then suddenly striking its victim by surprise. They are also exceptionally intelligent birds who will resort to ambush techniques to snare their meals. Tialys is no different. She is daring, incredibly agile, swift and has great endurance, but is unexpectedly passive and timid when it comes to people. If you¡¯re wanting to get on the good side of Excalibur, it might be a good idea to try and befriend Tialys first. She won¡¯t hop onto your shoulder at the very first call, but at least she won¡¯t split your skull open for trying¡¦ [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
