looking for friends from the 50's & 60's
Hi
I was born in Canarsie 1941. I lived on Farragut Road and E.96th Then moved to Ave.J & E.91st I went to PS 114 Then to Holy Family School was graduated in 1955. S.J. Tilden High School graduated in 1959. Hung out at Rosie's Candy store across from the fire house on Rockaway Pkwy. later at Gracies' near the station. Write back.

my home was in detroit, michigan.that is where i was born. i went to southeastern high school.i had a really close friend named harold k preston. i feel sure that he is no longer with us, but would like to know more about him. also,aubrey kniseley. is he okay,or what?

hi my name is Al Figuccio, I was born in canarsie in 1942 on east 84 st.I went to PS 114.I went to OUR LADY OF MIRACLE CHURCH E86th.I remember Cledo on flatlands ave,mr peppertonies on flatlands ave. pickelos on glemwood rd the chicken market on glemwood and E84st.I remember Tony Ladado,Lenard Tester,Jimmy DE Bella the mikeman we called foonjasa.\,Iam not sure of the spelling of any of these names.

I knew ur Aunt Mary she lived on Rockaway Pkway near Farragut Rd..She had a deaf son.. and i used to baby sit him..i also knew A Frankie Pernice who was a butcher at one time on Rockaway Pkway..next to Jordans Butcher .....and i knew the Pernice's that lived on Farragut Rd..across the street from 9613 Farragut Rd..in a brick house...did u live there?....u have got to be much much younger than i...but i have very very fond memories of Canarsie..i was born and raised there...and i loved that town...give me an update on the Pernice Family when u get a minute..thanks...

Sure I remember the Pernice family. I lived on E. 96 and Farragut and went to school with Joey I believe. My cousins Lou And Frank lived in the same house as I did right next door to Dr. Weinberg's office on E. 96th Street. Any memories???
