The Zone IS drug-free. People do whatever they want on the street, they run the risk of getting caught or whatever, but The Zone doesn't promote drug-usage, hence The Zone's drug-free. Sue has kicked numerous people out for drinking and she's even banned a kid for dealing in the bathroom.

Also, the deal with Jeff Suffering isn't an issue of originality. If The Zone became The Paradox, it would be done to start a nationwide(hopeful) community of venues with a good, drug-free, all ages reputation. As well as a system of venues in which bands can book tours at and not have to worry about being dropped from bills at the last minute. It's not a franchise because Jeff's not trademarking anything. The Zone wouldn't change at all except for the fact that it would be officially on the map for most record labels to send their bands to.

The only thing I can say that would suck about it, is that with all those out-of-town bands playing, when do local bands get to play? Local bands shouldn't have to open every show. Also, where does the money come from to pay these bands. If you have bigger bands playing more often, The Zone will need to charge $10 a night, drop to one night a week instead of Fridays and Saturdays, and tighten security to get kids to pay instead of walking in for free.
