She sat, away from them, on a bench, swinging her legs back and forth in boredom. She could still see them if she cared to, but a bush mainly blocked the view, so that they may have the moment to themselves. She plucked up a rose, gazing at it with a blank stare. She did not feel love within her...perhaps she was destined to remain cold. Perhaps she had left her love behind in her times of evil. In any case, it seemed that she was to remain alone. She kept an eye on Karn, knowing that the King might still try to make a move on Rain. No matter. She knew her mistress would keep her head on in a crisis. She continued to sit quietly, the rose lying across her lap~
