Listening quietly to the rash rebukes, the sterling noble awaited his conclusion, and could no longer hold it back. Tilting her head back, laughter poured from her mouth, a pure, pealing bubbling of light and life intertwined. When at last her joyous tones ceased to ring upon the marble halls, she looked again upon the shrinking form of a once proud brute. No, however aloof and beyond he thought Queens were, or should be, she was no ordinary ruler. Not born into high society, she had lived a rather tough life, not at all the pampered secluded life that many thought of as "royale". Realizing the emotional torment he had to be suffering, she moved to the left, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, her features softer, but still firm in her anger. She would help him if he would allow her. To her was granted the gift of healing, and she would ease his pain for a little while, give him rest of mind so that he could think clearly, but only if asked. She pointedly ignored Death, having nothing further to do with her at the moment.

"Yes, she fled, but only because she could see that you were torn in two, and unable to bear the pain of watching you slowly rent into halves, she left, knowing that either you would follow, or stay behind. Either way, you would once again be whole. She fled for you, not from you."

That said, the slender lady turned sapphire pools upon the sky, so grey, so mournful. It seemed as if this day would bode ill for her. Upon her brow sat an intricately woven circlet of immaculate silver, once flashing with bright reflections and refractions of light, now glowed only softly in the dimmness of morning. She held within her anxiety greater than any this situation could possess, but hid it well. Even as they stood here, an army was fleeing her homelands, but their tyrant leader demanding an audiance with King Shazaam. She looked over her shoulder once, her manner cool, but she was ready to have this affair done with. By rights, she wasn't even supposed to be here, but had risked it for a friend.
