As for coat-and-red-shirt guy, it's almost assuredly Spike, no doubt about that. But I think we're all jumping to conclusions about his speech.


"You can't give up that easily, Buffy...I have so much I need to show you...my love..."

We're all assuming he's saying he loves Buffy and that she can't give up- -returning from death, he has things to show her. That Spike (or possibly Angel) is here on a white horse to save Buffy from her terrible halucinations.


Pfft.

He's saying, this being a nightmare and all, "Buffy, you can't give up. I have to show you my love" at which point, something horrible happens.

Either that horrible thing will be an act that "Spike-esque" does to prove his "love," or...the "my love" line refers to another person.

I can see it now- -next panel, wham, it is Spike! He says "My love..." and then pulls another supporting character from off-panel and starts making out.

In which case, what coupling is the most disturbing-to-Buffy-as-well-as-the-readers? Tara? Joyce? Giles?!

My money is on Angel- -ten extra points if he's pregnant.
