A recent exchange on another board produced this. Myself and Quaintly have already talked this through but I was wondering how you'd defend Firefly against these foul slurs!

It's contrived, worn out and obviously formulaic. The characters are severely limited and I don't think they mesh. I suppose it comes down to me being a fan of scifi and the fact that Firefly could happily lose it's scifi shell and it's just left the A-Team. The captain is Hannibal, the big guy is BA, the pilot is Face the girl is Murdoch....... gah... give me Star Trek anyday
