The sad part is not the lose of the WB per se. Having the WB and UPN merge into a subsidiary of an existing network pretty much means that severals kinds of programming that they were willing to experiment with are behind us. The new MY network seems to be content with second-rate telenovellas for its standard fair. The failure of cable/satellite TV networks to pick up the challenge of a full schedule of quality, orginal, innovative programming for the forseeable future is indeed sad.
