It's all quite intriguing, but I'm wondering what they're going to do with all these new cast members. Lost probably has a bigger budget than most TV shows, but I doubt that they can afford to keep so many. Are we going to see more killed off like Shannon? Maybe she was the loser of the week in the game of "let's get rid of the least-used character".

I'm watching the Lost Season 1 DVD commentaries right now. It's interesting how they had to go back and insert a few things into the episodes just before they aired in order to make them consistent with the episodes they were filming (e.g., the photo of Sayid's old girlfriend was digitally changed to match the actress they eventually hired). I wonder if the script of ep 2.8 was "Someone (TBD - insert image of person later) bursts out of the jungle and Ana Luia shoots them". :-)
