Date Posted: 23:05:29 07/08/04 Thu In reply to: + Peytona 's message, "+ Toxic" on 22:40:09 07/08/04 Thu White hooves kicking off the grass with exaggerated flicks of his heels, the stallion streaks along the fence to one end of the paddock before pivoting at the last minute and taking off in the same direction he’d just come from. This wasn’t as thrilling or challenging as racing neck to neck with other equines, but at least he was able to move around more freely out here than in his stall. The open desert sand would be the ultimate epitome of freedom, and all the more better if he were able to share the joys of dancing with the winds if a human he particularly adored were astride him. Such a human, the stallion was yet to meet, but he didn’t wish to mull over that subject at this particular moment. A mighty toss of his elegant crania made, he blows with mock anger at non-existent foes, tense muscles just itching to prove their power by clearing any obstacles available… The fence boxing him and Peytona in was the obvious choice, but then they’d be separated… But spurred on by the wish to know if he could indeed clear the fence and the sudden surge of uncontrollable energy, the chestnut stallion focuses his attention on the wooden bars ahead of him located at a slight downhill slope. Auds perked forward into fine points, he calculates the precise number of strides and the pace required for a successful jump. Momentum slowing just a notch as he approached the barrier, he gathers his stride and pushes off, fronthooves neatly tucked in and his nape extended fully forward. After a perfect arc over the fence, he lands with a soft thud and immediately canters on, barely breaking a stride. Suddenly remembering the mare, he veers sharply to the right as he trots back towards the other end of the paddock where he’d seen her last, although now he was outside of the closed-off area whilst she was on the inside. Quite pleased with himself that he’d completed the jump with obvious success, he arches his nape into a fluid line whilst snorting with pride. Flints abruptly pausing, he stares at the stream, finding the area around it vacant of the chestnut figurine. Nares frantically flaring, he calms down only when he'd managed to relocate the mare beneath the shades of a large tree. Eagerly approaching, he whickers softly to Peytona and reaches out to her with his maw, pressing his chest up against the fence. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
