Bryan,

First of all congratulations on beginning you running career. If you are up to running 20 minutes, 3 times per week you are well on your way. Slowly add some time each week - no more than about 10 percent per week. Once you can run about 30 minutes per session, slowing add time to just one of your runs per week. So you week would look like 2 runs of 30 minutes per session and 1 run that will be your "long run". Once you get your long run up to about an hour you may want to add a 4th run each week. With the hot weather at any point feel free to walk for a minute to recover during your workouts.
