Fire Song- this spirit, a Keeper, was created to seal away people.... well, like me. how best to explain this.... i am a Spirit Star, Psyke here is as well. we are a very VERY rare race to ourselves, formed by a flaw in the circulation in Eternal Spires which i do not fully understand. so to say, it is a flaw that results in a Child of Light, or a Child of Shadow. most people in this situation die before they are given a physical body- the Spirits try to prevent us from ever being born. that is why there are only five of us now. the boy that is being referred to in the letter is one of us. Eldan, is his name, one of the youngest of us. they were planning on sealing him to this bottle, then drawing on his power to use themselves. ~+~*he rubbed his head, and cracked his neck.*~+~ Fire Song- Spirit Stars.... we are, well..... born with unusual abilities. we are all Adept level mages at birth, and have the ability to learn any spell or vocation that we choose. the only limmitations that we have are those dictated by species. Eldan was born in a kingdom who's barriers were powered by magic. how he ended up where he is, i do not know. i am employed by the sanctuary, and they have forbidden me to go get him out of there, for the time being.... but that is for later. within this bottle, there is a spirit called a Keeper. it was created to track us down, and seal us away- a sort of seceret execution from the Spirit World. few people know of their existance. Aya- in other words, people were never meant to know about Spirit Stars and/or the Keepers. Fire Song- there are few of these as well. only 12, if i remember correctly. most of them were killed off by Maiko, another Spirit Star. they are sent out after us in the form of sprites in bottles. if released anywhere near one of us, their powers become active, and we are sealed into their bottles while they are destroyed. we remain in those bottles until a Spirit picks us up and takes us back to the Spirit River, where they seal us as spells. only two of us have ever met this fate. they were foolish with their power...... now, they are no more than little flashes of color in a sea of rainbows, where they will never escape. now, i am protected by the Sanctuary, so it would not see me right away, and would leave me alone until i tried to use magic. Psyke however, would draw it like a moth to a lantern- being Spirit Star and of True Born, he would not stand a chance. ~+~*the bottle came to rest in his hand, and he used a Fire spell to destroy the letter that was left with it.*~+~ Fire Song- the Chimera was a messenger..... he was trying to kill Faeren on his way to delivering this. then, we take it somewhere and destroy it. that will at least keep Eldan safe until i get leave to open a gate to that world...... later, not in a temple..... ~+~*he turned to leave, Aya and Vree still clinging to his shoulders. he turned back, and tilted his head to one side.*~+~ Fire song- oh, and please do not touch any of that dust left by the Chimera. it is bad luck.
