Shaloon's eyes narrow, laying hard on her sister. The images stream through her mind—the entire pack - pups, elders, old friends, family - all dead. Somewhere inside, she feels a fraction of the gut-wrenching feeling she had when her own children died, but not a flicker of emotion crosses her face.
"You're right, Caldreen," Shaloon says slowly, "I don't care. I only wish that I could have been there to do it myself."
Caldreen's face turns to a look of betrayal and disgust in her sister. Maybe the others had been right when they had banished her. Maybe Caldreen had been the fool for still loving her. Maybe her little sister was no more than a heartless killer... –No– Caldreen thinks to herself –She can't be.–
"I'm sorry for that, Shal, I really am."
Caldreen holds her sister's gaze steadily with a look of disapointment then reverts to her wolf-form and trots out of the Shadowlands.
Shaloon only watches her sister leave, motionless.

Caldreen glances appologetically at Rakan. It's not that she doesn't like him or anything—she doesn't even know him—but what she had to say was family, and it'd just been so long since she had gotten to be just with her sister...
"I didn't mean, well..."
Shaloon holds her hand up for Rakan to stay, though she doesn't even look at him. Her eyes are fixed sharply on Caldreen.
"Don't act like you have something personal to say, Caldreen," her cold voice bites. "Nothing is personal between you and I anymore. So go ahead, talk."
She watches Caldreen like a vulture, with a dominant, merciless air about her.
Caldreen cringes under Shaloon's stare.
"Fine," she says, her voice clearing and taking on a quiet coldness to it, "if that's how you want to live, Shaloon. I came to tell you that the home-pack was destroyed. Fur-hunters. Very few made it out. No one save myself from my family. Though I suppose none of that matters to you anymore."

Behind you, you hear a giggle. From behind the tree appears the face of a boy. He sticks out his toung at you and walks to a nearby tree, carving a symbol in the blackened trunk. It is a circle with a cross in it, and his name, Savanah, below it.
Not far away, Eisei ran her fingers across the engravings on one of the trees. She was swearing.
"Shit. I hate it when the land just won't fucken stay where it's ment ot be!" She snarled and looked around. The land felt somewhat more... sedated. She doubted Savanah had anything to do with that, so it mush be Rakan. Savanah. Very clever choice, very arrogant land.
Not bothering to orm, she snarled again and stalked off in the direction she figured the boy would be in.

Rakan changes to his human form, hoping that will dimish the feelings he is getting from the land. That isn't too effective though, as his face reflects the pain and fear of the land. He leans against a blackened tree, not daring to try and stand up to move.

The tree reads: 'Savanah was here'

Night time has fallen on the continent, making the world outside as dark as it is inside the heart of the Shadowlands. The wind rips through trees with sparese coverings of new leaves, blowing the chared outside of the trees away and scouring the trunks clean.
The land itself feels restless, adgitated, lonely, the feeling accented by the strugling new growth, and the still barren old growth.
Suddenly, it seems as though a force rises from the land, something dark, lost... It has no definable physical shape, no clear features, just... an overwhealming feeling of being lost and lonely, like a cub away from it's mother...
Suddenly the still air was torn with the sounds of howls, and it seemed the stars themselves shook.
The shadowlands itself were crying, looking for something lost... a name heard in the howls...
From the heights of the grey mountains, the cry is heard. The guardian raises her head, eyes suddenly worried. "The land is... afraid?" she whisperes. Afraid of losing someone...
She turnes herself into a patch of darkness and drifts towards the shadowlands. The land was old, it needed the Darklanders... not like the plains, they were young still, but here...
She snarles to herself and speeds up. IDIOTS!!
