Thanks Guys for your posts ,I was beginning to thank I was in here alone.
John,I agree your and Davids assesments without Appraisal have merit,being a breeder for as many years as you and Davids exp. with dogs speak for themselves.However, consider
all the people that doesn't know a Boerboel from a Baboon,without Appraisal they have know guide what so ever.You were at the Okla. Event and saw with your own eyes the quality of most of the dogs,dogs that were there to be Appraised so they could be bred,and of course we all remember my good neigbor that produced around 85 crippled up pups,lets multiply 1/2 of them by 8--thats scary(they are at the age of breeding).
Dan,I applaude you and others such as Norman for the work you do with your dogs and I would hope that with 25 years of experience he would know what he is talking about,however my 52 years of common sense tells me to never put your face in front of a dog showing aggresion to correct him,to me it doesn't matter how well you know the dog,the opportunity to ripp your face of is present.I also notice that all the talk about work-work-work has people jumping and running,young pups,pups that are not developed yet,next we will hear alot of whining about bad hips.I'm not against working dogs for the dogs,but I don't care for working dogs for human Ego.
