Subject: My Many Thanks

I would like to thank 'all' the people who attended the HBSA Oklahoma Event. It is only obvious to say, 'without you there would have been no event.' The time and effort the attendees put in to attend the event is 'greatly' appreciated. A special thanks to the attendees who came from across the country and in one case beyond; Mike from Canada-drove two days one way through pouring rains, Dan G. from Chicago-thanks for the deep pan pizza, Raymond who came all the way from New York, Tommy from Tennessee-whose dog knowledge was abundantly clear, Norman from Louisiana-the real Louisiana, as well as those who drove 'mere hours' to get to the event, (just kidding about the mere part).

To Carel Koch, Chairman of the HBSA and Jan Ledoux, HBSA Board member; these gentlemen came from the other side of the world in an effort to help, by means of educating, to restore the Boerboel to the noble creature of it's heritage. Your effort have not been wasted, Thank You. By the way, for those who are not aware, Carel does not sell puppies or dogs. When Carel accepted the position of HBSA Chairman he decided he could not, in good consciences, sell puppies and 'properly' maintain the appearance of the unbiased representative of the Boerboel he felt was necessary. He made the decision to remove himself from a position that could give any appearance of having a conflict of interest. Carel does what he does for the good of the Boerboel.

To Terry and Deborah Moran; the time and effort both of them dedicated to making the HBSA Boerboel events a success is off the chart. They both opened their home and made all who crossed their threshold feel welcome. Terry's hard work and Deborah's absolute sweetness is unmatched.

There were also many people behind the scenes that made this event the success I feel it was.
David Harris' task/position of technical advisor regarding temperament testing that would provide 'valid' feedback to the mental stability of the Boeboel was/is crucial to creating a system that is possible of measuring the whole dog and not just being a beauty contest. David Harris' wife Deanne has put up with, 'many times', the debates, the debates, the debates and did I mention the debates that has led to a system that we at the HBSA are confident to say now has the ability to provide a measurement tool that has worth to all who choose to use it.
Norman, Tim, Dan, Raymond and all the others whose input 'before' the event led to this success, Thank You, your help was and will continue to be appreciated, (not just appreciated, but needed).

One last thing, I would like to apologize to those who attended the Sunday event and were forced to experience untimely delays that my lack of experience caused. I promise the next one will be better. I hope to see all of you and more at the next event. Have a great day, Jerry.
