They both suggest a few things. ~Perhaps food, or shelter. Mabey we should send out River Dragon and Nature's Keeper to scout out good liveing areas, see what this place is about.~ The old ones hold up a wing for silence. ~We will find food first. No one can search for anything with an empty stomach.~ Says Endless Arora. ~Send out the hunters. Hurry along now or they may be too weak to fly.~ Voices Secret Twilight. The two round up River Dragon, Silver Onyx, Shifting Sun, and Soul Fears. They send them out to try and bring in big game or lots of small prey. While the rest make themselves comfortable in the snow on top of a mountain, the hunting party goes down into a near vally. River Dragon leads and soon spots a large patch of pine trees by a stream. They split up, but are never too far from each other as they make their circles in the sky. Soul fears finds a small Red Deer. He dives for it with the hunting scream to the others. He manages to knock it in the back leg. He hears a small snap and knows it is injured. River Dragon and Shifting sun dives. Dragon misses, but Shifter catches it in the back of the neck. Soon all of them are on it and in a very unbirdlike way they swarm over it. Their hunger driveing them mad the large falcons slash and tear at the animals head, legs, and neck. When it finnaly hits the dirt with a last dieing bleat they immeadatly rip into the still kicking meat. Tearing it to shreds as they devour their share the each pick up a large piece, either a side or a leg, and carry it back to the waiting flock. Like vulters the flock swarms over it and within seconds have wolfed it down. The whole flock goes down to the carcas. Each carrying a bit of the body they fly back up. Now nothing, but a little hide, some blood, and a few bones mark where the dear fell. In their harsh climate they have learned the ways other animals live in that cold world. They take meat to the high snowy mountain peak to bury it under the snow. The flock settles around it in scraped patches that make up for nests.
