and flutter off to a distant ledge. They make a large scrape in the snow. They face each other, both standing in one side of the scrape. Suddenly they begin to dance. They dance round and round, leaping, flapping, tail fanning, and bobbing their heads. Their dances are the same. They carry the dance into the air. There they do a number of brushing passes, dives, calls, whirls, and wheeling off in different directions. Their flight still mimicing the others, you can now see that they have each other's souls mirrored in their glassy eyes. These two are soul mates. They do a few spirals before a mateing dance. This done, and their energy exausted they wing it back down to the flock's resting peak and dig themselves up a snack. Three others are awakened by the pair's movement and they two dig a little deer meat out of the snow. When everyone's satisfied the all go back to their own scrapes. All except the two, Flame and Soul Fears. They make a scratch for two and flatten out to sleep, side by side.
