Subject: first day of fall

It is more like summer. high 80's last several days. It has been cooling off decent at nite. Last Saturday nite it got down in the 40's. That is more my kind of weather. Helped at a hunt at a local club last Saturday nite. That old wood stove felt kinda nice coming in the club. It is real dry here. What rains we have had recently have been all at once. The garden quit all at once. I can usually have green fried tomatoes clear up in October. I fear they are finished.I refused to water from the hose. I have lost 95% of my strawberry plants. If it don't rain soon they will not recover enough to survive the winter. Has been a tough summer to get young dogs going. I fear our coon population is down. I treed very few litters this summer. We don't have the corn field chases that Ohio use to be famous for?? We have had some good bean field chases recently. World hunt starts this week. Kinda getting that antsie feeling like when we were kids before Christmas. I hope the work week goes quick and smooth. See ya at Tilden, Perry
