Subject: Becuz of the success of The Avengers...

...Joss Whedon has proven himself to be a capable director and a profitable investment--something WE knew this whole time-- so what if a studio handed him a couple hundred million to make a summer blockbuster of his choice without interference? If so, and he chose to look back instead of making something entirely new , which project would you like to see?

A continuation of the Buffy or angel series, or one combining te characters, in a film with the original actors? A Buffy reboot? Serenity 2? More Dollhouse?

I'd like to see him take a shot at adapting any of the works by Jim Butcher, Kim Harrison, or Patricia Briggs. Another thought would be Neil Gaiman's American Gods. I'd love to see a Gaiman/Whedon collaboration on just about anything in fact.

Agreed those authors are right up Joss's overview. I'd like the satisfaction not to come from what is actually easy: darkness and "the lizard brain." It's bringing it all on home to the light that can be hard slogging. It's why authors fear "and they lived happily ever after" because they don't know how to pull that off. (Always duality is the "safe" reason). Just sayin'

JOss is too cynical or nihilistic ultimately as teacher and guide for me; I have all the reasons why right here in you guys. You make me happy.

Be well
