Subject: Evolving - MNA

I find myself changing lately, dropping things that no longer interest me and finding new things to do. Just gave up bridge for example and my girlfriend turned me onto the Tim Dorsey novels. Serge Storms is my hero. Unlike Angel everyone he kills pretty much deserves it. (Also he's very creative. Taxidermy, jerky, coconut oil napalm, etc.)

Ok I haven't done this in over a week and Windows 7 can be very balky about opening tabs and pasting in the pics. I had this done a minute ago. Tried the preview, had a red x
tried to clean it up and deleted the whole thing. So this time I'm just going to send it and hope for the best.

I think David has evolved both professionally and as a character on Bones, the exact opposite of what happened to him in the Buffyverse. He went from a one dimensional fed in the stereotypical will they won't they relationship to a more 3 dimensional character in a committed relationship.
In the Buffyverse he went from troubled hero who relied on his friends to a murderous egomaniac. (At least that's where I left him. Maybe he got better but as Willow said once as far as the Buffy-verse is concerned "bored now."

In fact I don't think very many chaacters in the Buffyverse grew or changed although Whedon paid lip service to the idea. Willow and Spike did but most of the chracters never really grew from what they were in season 1 or even devolved into lesser characters by the end. To me Buffy and Angel both came off as very selfish and callous by the end of both series. They were even worse a lot of the time in the comics.

Anyway I have not lost my interest in vampires stories as long as they are fun like the season premiere of vampire diaries. Elena as a vampire will be fun and of course who doesn't like a barbeque? (or does it count as a barbeque if you cook with gas?)

One last note on evolution.

They should make that into the get Dish network ad. Something like this: When you have cable you're a big dinosuar. When you're a big dinosuare asteroids force you to evolve into a small tasty bird to survive. Don't turn into a chicken get satellite.

Peace out.

Wesley had a big evolution. His character probably moved through life more than any other in the 'verse. Spike in second place just for less time in seasons on screen.

Buffy feared change and had a lot of bad habits, and then Joss has been killing all respect for the character in the comics. Same with Willow. Magic is still her whole life. And control. Still a control freak.

I never read anything about the Buffy/Angel comics that I'm not grateful I never got involved in them. I had Angel's first edition for sentimental reasons, but, of course, it was "fired" along with everything else.

I have no idea how difficult it is to post the MNA photos. I just know that I enjoy them so much I hope you, dear Lewis H, never become to weary to post the occasional MNA. Of course, I'd like daily MNAs, but do understand the difficulty that must entail. Thank you for your efforts. Today's MNA is particularly charming and has made me smile and appreciate the narative. Hugs

Never mind Tim Dorsey, try Tim Minchin - extremely eccentric and talented comedian/musician. If you want a new interest try him and also look up Bill Bailey's 'Part Troll'. They should give you a new lease on life.
