Car dies on my way out running an errand. Nothing prior to indicate any thing wrong, except maybe a little dimming of headlights now & then.

Turns out battery leaked, ran down the positive cable, killed the starter & the alternator.

This is a 96 Olds cutlass. I have never heard of a battery leaking in such a way it can damage both starter & alternator.

Needless to say, taking it to a dealer because of $100 deductable warranty was a BIG mistake. The bill to get it out is over $1000, the warranty won't honor the the damages.

Broke again.....sigh!!
