Subject: The House of Cards Has Fallen Chap:6-7

Setting: Robin's Hospital room

Robin was sitting up in bed reading a book of fairytales. Jason had left them with her after he had called in the doctor. Something weird was going on with Jason. First he kissed her, actually he looked and sounded different but the kiss, the kiss seemed so familiar. Second he'd acted like he had no idea what she meant when she asked him about Karen. She squinted her eyes against a coming headache and then cried out when it exploded into a maelstrom of pain mixed with a flash of something.
Hands caressing her face. Blue eyes. Sweet smile. A kiss. Jason's kiss. A bed. Skin on skin. Love. Same hands on her body. Caress, worship, memorize. Jason's body. Naked. Sweat. Musk. Tremors. Bliss.
As soon as the pain subsided, Robin felt herself blushing. What was that? Did she just flash on the image of a naked Jason? Where did that come from? Did she like walk in on him in the shower or something? She shook her head. This was all too confusing and that flash brought so much pain it wore her out. She could feel herself drifting when she heard her door open. Looking over Robin noticed a girl about eighteen come in. She didn't recognize her but the girl's dark eyes lit up at the sight of Robin.

Girl: "Robin?"

Robin: "I'm sorry, do I know you?"

Girl: "Oh no. I guess they haven't told you."

Robin: "Told me what? And who are you?"

Girl: "Told you about what happened."

Robin was getting impatient. Not only that but the girl was giving her a weird feeling. Though her long brown hair nearly covered her eyes Robin could still see her watching her intently. Almost like an animal stalking its prey.

Robin: "What happened?"

Girl: "Jason was in here earlier wasn't he?"

Robin: "Yes. What about him?"

Girl: "Two years ago AJ got drunk and got into an accident with Jason. Jason was in a coma and lost his memory and after that you two became lovers."

Robin: "Wait. Two years? I've lost two years of my life? How?"

Girl: "Not two years. Six. Before you and Jason became serious he slept with a woman named Carly Roberts who turned out to be Bobbie's long lost daughter. For some time he pretended to be the father to AJ's son and then Tony Jones kidnapped you and the baby and you testified on his behalf and Carly shot you in open court. You had surgery, started to seize and then went into a coma causing you to lose part of your memory."

Robin: "I lost six years of my life? Jason and I dated? Wait, dated. Past tense. If we're not together why did he kiss me?"

Girl: "Jason works for Sonny Corinthos. You left when a bullet you thought was meant for him came through the window of your uncle's house."

Robin: "Left for where?"

Girl: "Paris. The Sorbonne to study to become a doctor. You'd already been to Yale."

Robin: "And I left to get away from him?"

Girl: "To get away from Sonny. That bullet was meant for you. Sonny tried to have you killed but Jason refused to believe it and you two broke up. He still loves you and now he runs Sonny's territory."

Robin: "So Sonny has no power in Port Charles?"

Girl: "Not anymore. But he pretends to be your friend because of your boyfriend."

Robin: "Jason?"

Girl: "Stone."

Robin: "I'm dating someone now?"

Girl: "You were dating him but he worked for Sonny and now he's dead."

Robin: "How did he die? Did Sonny kill him?"

Girl: "He died of AIDS. You are HIV positive. That's what the extra IV is for. Your protocol of pills you take to keep your T cells normal and your viral load undetectable. See, look at your chart."

Robin reads it and utters a gasp.

Robin: "If I have HIV why is Jason dating me? I could infect him."

Girl: "He loves you like I said. He's not afraid of the risk."

Robin sits in silence. Tears begin to course down her cheeks as the reality of this sets in. She has HIV and she takes pills to control it. Her boyfriend died and she can't even remember him because she was shot by her other former boyfriend's ex lover. And she has no memory of this either. Or does she. That flash she had. The memory of Jason, his skin on hers. The kiss, the bed, the love she felt. Those were memories. another blinding flash of pain rips through her head and she cries out again and remembers.
A beach. Sand, sunlight; a yellow flower. Touch. Gentle. Hands on her skin. Her core. Tongue. Trail of fire. Manhood. Hard. Solid. Skin. Taste.
Another memory. Robin's eyes got wider as she thought about it. That was her and Jason again. In bed making love. On a beach making love. Oh. Boy. That was gonna take some getting used to. To know she had finally been able to be with the man she had a crush on for so long. She shook her head to clear it. This girl, she'd told her about Sonny too. But, it was off somehow. Or at least that's what her instincts told her. But why would she lie? But then again, Robin still didn't know who she was.

Robin: "You still haven't told me who you are."

Girl: "My name is Marie. I've known you for a long time Robin."

Something about that wasn't quite right either. She wasn't lying per se, but she wasn't being entirely honest either. And then Marie pulled out a needle and injected it into Robin's IV.

Marie: "Don't worry Robin. You'll just sleep for awhile and then you'll wake up and I'll be there to make sure they can nenver get to you again."

Robin barely had time to wonder who they were and if they were really a threat to her before her world turned black.

Crystal was practically crowing to herself. She'd gotten Robin to trust her enough to listent to her and now she was out cold. Ready to be taken to the hideout. Crystal scowled. She always did hate that word. Sounds stupid and cowardly. She wondered briefly if that weird pain Robin had had in her head would become a problem. Well, probably not. She wouldn't live long enough for it to become a problem. Now all Crystal had to do was get her out of the hospital. Easy enoguh the staff was so stupid there'd be no one watching to stop them. She got up and went outside, grabbed a wheelchair and brought it back to the room. Picking Robin up off the bed and putting her securely in the chair Crystal awarded herself a mental pat on the back. She then wheeled Robin out of the roo, to the elevator and down three floors to the parking garage and then put her in the car she'd stolen and drove away with her prisoner.

Cori peeled into the hospital parking garage and parked in the first place she found. Getting out of the car she raced to the elevator and pushed the button to the third floor. Reaching the floor, Cori ran to Robin's room and let out a groan.

Cori: "Damn. She got here before I did."

Voice: "Who did? Wait. Where the hell is Robin?"

Cori turned and found herself face to face with Jason Morgan.

Cori: "I'll get right to the point. My name is Cori Delavinnci. My twin sister Crystal is obsessed with Robin, I believe she killed Carly Roberts and has now kidnapped Robin for some scheme known only to her."

Jason: "And you know all this how?"

Cori: "I work for the WSB. One of my duties was to keep an eye on my sister, especially after we found out about her obsession for Robin. I failed I know. I just got back from seeing her uncle to tell him about Crystal. She's deranged and seriously unstable."

Jason: "You were supposed to portect her and now your mental sister has a hold of her! God, she's totally defenseless."

Cori: "Come again?"

Jason: "She doesn't remember anything from the last six years of her life."

Cori: "And Crystal would probably know this already and use it to make Robin trust her. Damn it. Jason we have to find Robin."

Jason gives her a look that clearly says that she is an idiot to him.

Cori: "Come on. We've got to get to Mac and the three of us will have to work together to find her."

Voice(behind them): "Why should he work with you for anything?"

Cori(without turning around): "Mr. corinthos, I wish no harm on Robin and I work for the WSB. I'm supposed to protect her. As I said, I know I failed before, but I will get her back."

Sonny: "Your grandfather is Salvatore Delavinnci. A man Robin's father had negative dealings with. Why should we trust you?"

Cori: "I have no knowledge of the dealings my grandfather had or didn't have with anyone. I had no and still have no part in his business dealings. So whatever their business was, I'm sure it had nothing to do with me."

Jason: "She's not lying Sonny. I can tell."

Sonny: "Alright, then we'll all work together to bring Robin safely home.

Setting: Ryan's cabin

Ryan was typing on his laptop when he heard a knock on his door. Saving the work he got up to answer it.

Ryan(to himself): "If it's Cori here to shove me against the wall again, I may just kill her."

He opens the door and is stunned to see not only Cori but his brother and Mac Scorpio there as well.

Ryan: " Kevin! Mac!"

Mac just stood there, his eyes opened wide with surprise. Even though Cori had filled him earlier he couldn't believe the man who had stalked his fiancee was still alive and standing in front of him.

Mac: "Cori told us how you survived the fire by using that small oxygen tank and tunnel underground. What I want to know is why you're in town."

Ryan: "I came to try to protect Robin from Crystal."

Mac: "Fine job you did too, seeing as Crystal has kidnapped Robin from her hospital room."

Ryan: "She what?"

Cori: "Yeah, I went by Mac's office to tell him about Crystal and then went by the hospital to see Robin and she was gone. There was no sign of struggle, but that wouldn't necessarily make a difference since Robin has lost the last six years of her memory and I'm sure Crystal used it to her advantage."

The men all watched as Cori's face went bright red as she said that without taking a breath and the oxygen was slowly wheezed back into her lungs.

Mac: "Is it always like this with you?"

Ryan: "She's a little high strung."

Mac: "You never told me how you know Ryan."

Cori shrank back, drawing into herself almost as though she'd been hit. her brown eyes grew wide and darkened in fear as what appeared to be memories slipped across her psyche. it was obvious that she was traumatized and that Ryan knew what it was about as Ryan took her gently by the arm and led her to a chair.

Ryan: "Don't worry about the details Mac. Just know I know the girls and leave it at that right now. My past here is separate from them and I'd like to keep it that way."

Mac nodded slowly as Kevin knelt down in front of Cori and tried to get her attention.

Cori: "I'm alright, I just had a small flashback to some not good times. Now Ryan, I need to know what you've discovered about my mother's connection to Robin."

Ryan went to the laptop and brought up the file he'd been previously working on.

Ryan: "Here's the file with the details, but the quick version is that Robert Scorpio had dealings with your grandfather, over what I don't know."

Cori: "Sonny already told me that. I assume that's why he came back to Port Charles, he came to warn Robin."

Mac: "So what do we do now? How do we find Robin?"

Cori: "Our best bet would e to go back to Brooklyn and talk to my grandfather, he seems to know something and if he does, it might help us find Robin and understand why Crystal's so obsessed with her."

Ryan: "I have to say I agree. We'll need Corinthos's and Morgan's help for this though. Any information that we can't get from your grandfather they could get elsewhere."

Cori(shudders): "My thoughts exactly. I really wish that would quit happening."

Ryan(looks at Kevin): "You've been pretty quiet throughout this."

Kevin: "What are your intentions here?"

Ryan: "I'm only here to protect Robin from whatever is going on. After that I'm leaving."

Mac: "Just as long as no one dies at your hands, we'll be ok."

Cori and Mac head out to the car leaving Kevin to talk with Ryan.

Kevin: "What do you know about these girls' past?"

Ryan: "They've been hurt. They've been betrayed and there is nothing that can bring Crystal back from the edge. Cori's pushed it down as far as it will go in order to take care of her sister. But as you can see, anything could trigger a state of catatonia. Or worse, the same rage that Crystal operates with."

Kevin: "So we need to keep an eye on her?"

Ryan: "Without a doubt."

Kevin and Ryan discuss plans to meet back here later and start out for Brooklyn to talk to Cori's grandfather and then Kevin leaves back to the car where Cori and Mac are waiting.

Ryan goes back into the cabin and closes the door. He thinks about the first time he ever met Cori.

He was walking down third street when he spotted a young girl sitting on the curb. She had folded her knees up to her chest and her head was buried in the fabric of her jeans. He saw her shaking and wondered if she was alright. He walked up to her and she started as she heard his approach.

Ryan: "Hello. Are you okay?"

Girl(backs away): "I'm fine. Go away."

Her hostility would've be off-putting under normal circumstances but he saw the purple bruise beneath her eye and the swollen lip as well as the blood that stained the front of her shirt.

Ryan: "What happened? You get in a fight?"

Girl: "Yeah, a fight. I guess you could call it that."

Ryan: "Well as long as you're alright I guess I'll be going. By the way, I'm Ryan."

Girl: "Name's Corinna, but everyone calls me Cori."

Ryan: "Good to meet you Cori. Take care of yourself."

He left her standing on the sidewalk but her memory followed him home. And he met her again as he was visiting a friend at the local hospital when she was brought in on a stretcher with multiple fractures to her ribs, face and arm. Ryan saw her mother and twin sister, the likeness of which reminded him of his own twin, coming in behind the EMTs. A man came striding in through the emergency room doors and began shouting orders at the mother and young girl. The mother cowered in fear and the other girl glared in defiance. But as the man looked at her with malice in his gaze she lowered her head and stared at the ground. It was then that Ryan knew without a doubt that these girls were being beaten by this man. He knew abuse from his own childhood and he wanted to help these girls anyway he could. That day he vowed to save them no matter what it took. No matter what it cost him.

Well so far he had failed in saving Crystal, but maybe he could salvage Cori's life and future. But first he had to help Mac get his niece back.

Setting: Warehouse on Charles Street

Crystal sat next to Robin's stretcher waiting for her to wake up. It had been so simple taking her from the hospital. She'd had to strap her to the bed while she dumped the stolen car, in case Robin woke up and made a break for it. Crystal jumped when she heard Robin stirring.

Robin: "Where am I?"

Crystal: "Your new home for the time being."

Robin: "Marie? What do you mean my new home?"

Crystal: "Sonny Corinthos is back in town and I was afraid that Mac wouldn't be able to protect you so I brought you here so you'd be safe."

Robin: "Oh. Ok. Umm... why did you give me that shot earlier?"

Crystal: "So you'd sleep and it wouldn't look very suspicious to anyone Sonny had watching you if I wheeled you out unconscious."

Robin: "Not to question you, but how would that be less suspicious?"

Crystal: "Sonny's men are stupid. All I'd have to tell them is I'm a nurse taking you down for some tests or something and then, no offense, I wouldn't have to worry about your facial expression maybe giving something away."

Robin was still confused by this but before she could ask another question pain ripped through her head once more. More flashes bombarded her. Jason again. Leather jacket. Microphone. Stage. Pink dress. Pain. Agony. Reassurance. Love. Comfort. This pain was blinding and left her head spinning until she had to lean over the bed and use the bucket that was conveniently there.

Robin(tired): "Thanks for taking care of me."

Crystal smoothed back Robin's sweat drenched hair and waited until she fell asleep before getting up and leaving the room.

Crystal: "I know my sister expects you dead Robin. But you see, I need you as part of my plan. I'm going to destroy Port Charles and everything thing that you and your mother ever held dear. You two were the reason Cori and I suffered so much, it was because of you that we never knew our father. But for now, I'll keep your trust and then I'm going to make you suffer and then it will be time for you to die."

Setting: Private Yacht off the coast of Australia

A man sat at his desk with a file open in front of him. The file contained information about Robin Scorpio and her family. A picture of her looked up at him from his desk and he smiled tracing her features.

Man: "In due time Robin, my presence will be known."

He smiled again and reveled in his current success of tainting the supplies of ethrane throughout the hospitals of Port Charles. It had caused many deaths but they were of little consequence to him. He had done so planning on causing Ms. Scorpio to have an accident requiring surgery so that the ethrane could be used to get Robin aligned with him once and for all. But Carly Roberts had beaten him to it and now she was dead. So nice when he could get other people to do his work for him. Suddenly his cell phone rang.

Man: "Yes?"

Caller: "Um...sir we have a problem."

Man: "What is it Rumbholt?"

Rumbholt: "Sir, the Delavinnci girls are both in Port Charles and it looks as though one of them has taken Robin Scorpio prisoner."

Man: "What? How the Hell did that happen?"

Rumbholt: "Robin has lost six years of her memory apparently and one of them, Crystal I believe took her from the hospital. We don't know where she's been taken."

Man: "Find her at any cost. And kill the Delavinnci brat when you get to them."

Rumbholt: "The other one, Cori, is on her way to Brooklyn, looking for information about Robert from her grandfather. Should we stop her?"

Man: "She's not important right now. Whatever she finds out won't hurt us, especially after we get Robin back."

Rumbholt: "It does look as though you'll have to tweak her memory a bit more sir if you want her to trust you."

Man: "Yes, I know. I'll have to make her forget my father even if it means making her forget her parents entirely. No matter what, Robin Scorpio will be my bride."

The man hung up the phone and envisioned Robn at his side helping him DVX. Yes, there could be nothing sweeter than a union between Robert and Anna Devane Scorpio's daughter Robin and Cesar and Emmaline Faison's son Alexander. Lex leaned back in his chair and laughed thinking of the power he and his bride to be would cultivate, not to mention the sweetness of the little vial next to him. With that he would complete the last phase of his plan.
