民本是民主的基礎
簡單解釋民本是以民為本,而民主是人民作主
例如一個明君作一切決定之先,亦以人民之利益為依據, 言這便是民本,而美國的總統是經人民選舉而成就是民主
至於中國人因為過於依賴及政治冷感,認為國家大事應由天子、大臣及知識份子作決策;俗語有云:不在其位、不思其政,而曹劌論戰一文中,曹劌就被一般市民評為多事,認為打使等國家大事要由高官決定。

若以「民之所好好之,民之所惡惡之」作為「民本」的注腳,已證明「主」在君,不在民。因全句的意思是「君主能就民之所好而好之和就民之所惡而惡之便是一位好君主」。因此,民本思想仍然是由君作主,而不是由民作主。

若果中國人從來未有想過除皇帝管治以外還有別的政治體制,一整天都只是在聽候君主的聖旨,又怎會產生「民主」的思想?

引申下去,若果中國人從來未有想過除共產黨管治模式之外還有別的管治模式,一整天都只是在聽候黨的聖旨,又怎會產生……

唉,我又將被判定「走上不愛國之路」了。多言多敗,奈何!
