I introduce myself with my full name - Jessica - and the majority will use it. Friends and workmates will usually shorten it to Jess - which is fine. The only people who call me Jessie are my family, and very close friends.

Just lately, there's been a number of people I barely know from our head office who've started calling me Jessie and I almost find it offensive. It's like having a stranger use your family's pet name for you.

Does anyone else get this, or am I being anal? *g*
