I'm with rouge here if there is no-one else around who will help, make his life uncomfortable.

Even when his kid is ackint up phone him and tell him to collect the little darling, or to shut it up so that you can get your work done.

Also by the sounds of it if the rest of the company is a distance away they probaly dont know his kid is there, a quick e-mail or phone call might get it sorted
