Subject: The thing is that if when you are missing teeth it really throws the smile off. In natural non glitz pageants they do not count off for it.However in glitz systems you are wasting your money if you go with missing teeth. It can really boost the childs confidence level and it makes their smile big and brighter. I have not seen a flipper that "adds" any teeth to the childs mouth however. They are made from a mold of their actual teeth. Some are too big thats a fact. You have to be careful when you get one that you get a natural looking flipper. I dont see how it is any different than the hair or lashes. None of them are part of the childs actual features if you are adding to them right? All children do have teeth. They just lose different ones during certain years. The way I see it if I have the total package with everything else I will definitely buy a flipper to stay in the ball game. If not I will sit in the bleachers! LOL

  • Don't believe that glitz systems count off for missing teeth! My daughter supremed at Cover Miss, Sunburst, and Diamond USA (all states) just to name a few and she was missing her four TOP teeth! We NEVER used flippers and the few pageants she has not won she has always placed second runner up or higher and won quite a few Smile awards as well! -- Anonymous, 21:49:09 12/20/03 Sat
  • Are those high glitz systems? We havent done any of those. Southern Beauties & Beaus, AGG, Total Miss are some we have done. Never seen any of the girls supreme with teeth missing. I dont know about the ones you named. -- Anonymous, 17:35:26 12/30/03 Tue
