Do you remember the 2001 Last Night?
I found Ms. McDonald's part of the programme
over-extended beyond any reasonable limits,
although maybe this had more to do with Maestro Slatkin
than with her!

I understand that this is Slatkin's last season;
who do you think will take over in 2005?

I still miss Sir Andrew, but cast my vote for Barry
Wordsworth..............

I agree with all your other choices - forgive me if I don't
share your enthusiasm for Wagner! By the way, last year I was delighted to hear a superb performance of Tchaikovsky's
'Francesca da Rimini,' inspired both by his study of Dante's
'Inferno,' and a visit to the newly-formed Bayreuth Festival
in 1876, so maybe I'm not always the most ological person in the world!
