 I note that, while Jiri (sorry, can't do the r-hasek) takes over as Chief Conductor on the First Night 2006, he is in the mean time Chief Conductor Designate.

Perhaps they have lined up someone else to be Conductor in loco principis or some such.

Whatever the case, I'm sure someone will moan about the LNOTP being conducted by a Czech, should JB decide to do it....
