21 July - Budapest Festival Orch - Ivan Fischer conducting and Stephen Hough piano - Creatures of Prometheus Overture, Brahms Piano #1 and Rach S2: Yes again

25 July - Premiere of Ruby's Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra - Allsop conducting and Colin Currie on drums...Yes, but the work is called Ruby and it is by Joe Duddell.

28 July - Monteverdi Orch & Choir and Clare College Choir - JEG conducting (obviously): Yes, Berlioz l'Enfence du Christ

[ ] July - Bach Choir of Bethlehem (PA) - late night prom premiere of cantata 'I It Am' by Libby Larsen: Yes, 29 July

2 August - BBC Phil/Jarvi - London premiere of Tuur's Violin Concerto (van Keulen) and Prok S6: Yes but 1st August

3 August - Mali Chamber Orchestra/Gilbert - Leif Ove Andsnes returns to give us Mozart PC#9 - That should be MAHLER chamber orchestra.

6 August - the Scottish NYO premieres Sally Beamish's Trumpet Concerto - Hakan Hardenberger soloist - YES with Elgar 2 as well.

9 August - YPT conducts the NYO: yes, Messaien 'Les offrandes oubliees', Berlioz 'Harold in Italy' and Prok 5.

19 August - House band with Slatkin and Evelyn Glennie: Yes, new concerto by Chen Yi

27 August - Christine Brewer sings Berg's Seven Early Songs with Mark Wigglesworth (BBC Phil/BBC NOW???) - Well, LPO actually - also Brahms 1

The New London Chamber Choir will do a concert of Xenakis and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields will premiere Mark O'Connor's Concerto for Violin and Orch with the composer as soloist.: Xenakis on Prom 67 (late night) - O'Connor VC6 Prom 32

Possible performance of Prokofiev's cantata "Alexander Nevsky" - Prom 31 RPO/Gatti

Christian Lindberg will be back on 17th August, aplying a Trombone Concerto by Aho, possibly with the Concertgebouw - 18th August - Lahti Symphony unser Vanska

NLCC prom is the late nighter on September 8.

HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh will be attending on 30 July. Indeed so. God Bless 'Em.


Glyndebourne have announced that Tristan und Isolde will be broadcast on Radio 3 on 7 June and Idomeneo on 5 July. (Glyndebourne Prom in 2004 could be Zauberflote): Glyndebourne are doing Die Fledermaus on 4 August.

Got to go now as golf beckons. You'll never believe what the VPO are doing this year - and with whom!!!!!!
