Simon, few points:

1) The BBC forum is quiet as it doesn't seem to be working at all at the moment. The response time is appalling and the standard of moderation shameful. Or maybe it's because I use a Macintosh computer.

2) The MacBeeb are indeed a magnificent orchestra. I remember a Beethoven 7 under Vanska which was a sensation.

3) You should write more reviews, because although people may agree that something was enjoyable (or not), they often do so for different reasons. Although, of course, you have the occasional aberration (the Schmidt is a work of genius, I tell you!!!)...
