CD Roms? Yes? Perhaps not, but don't you think a little "off beat" music and indeed postings in this Forum is a change once in a while. It makes a change from talking about the same old things i.e. The Last Night before we even have a First Night. I think we should just take the Last Night "as it comes" and just enjoy it, instead of endlessly talking about it. I would be more interested in talking about the standard of Orchestral playing at the Proms or the future for Orchestral Concerts "outside" of the Proms season and whether audiences are going down and why. That's just a few of the subjects and no doubt others can add a few more interesting subjects to my list which is limited by the time I have to write this.
Amateur music making is another subject as there are some simply excellent orchestras around the country which give really fine concerts from time to time and play some less played works.
However, I am glad you will join me, (hope I can make it after all my talk), but those who know me will vouch for the fact that I would of course rather hear Elgar or Walton and hope to do so.
Anyway, thank you for joining me "in the Q" for the Show,as the title of another Broadway Show I have just played for says, "Anything Goes" as a subject here in this forum and that's the way it should be.
