I'm afraid that season tickets are available for standing spaces only. There are no season tickets for seats; if there were they'd be astronomically expensive (£1000-£2000).

Season tickets are supposed to guarantee entry until 10-15 minutes before the performance (I believe this includes the last night), effectively without queuing, though in practice this would only get you a standing space right at the back of the Arena. To be near the front, you'd need to queue for many hours.

Sometimes there are a very small number (say 15) of seats in the middle of the arena around the fountain, but I seem to recall that the fountain is removed on the last night, and in any event the seats are like gold dust - only determined queuers will get near them. Further, if you're in one you'll probably see little beyond rows of people stood all around you, and worse, since they're in a circle around the fountain, most of them face away from the stage. Portable seats etc are definitely not allowed in the arena.

If your mum's not well, the arena's probably a bit of a dodgy location anyway, especially on the last night. It can be a bit of a bear-garden down there....

Your best (but costly even if it failed) bet would have been to order seats for 6 other concerts in the season, which would have entitled you to apply for a seat for the last night without going through the ballot business. There is no guarantee that you'd get a last night ticket (though the chances are much better than the ballot), and you'd have to pay for all the others regardless (say £200). It's almost certainly too late to do this now, you'd have had to get in almost as soon as the guide was published in April. Apart from those in the ballot, seats for the last night will have effectively sold out by now.

Either way, it's an awfully expensive strategy to get a ticket for a concert which is often not all it's cracked up to be. Though I suppose I can understand it if your Mum has long wanted to go, and isn't so well...

Sorry the response isn't more positive....
