I got this in an email from the bbc, and thought I would post it here for those people that are not signed up to the proms mailing list.

BBC Four, the BBC's new digital television channel, is broadcasting 2 weeks of Proms this year between 20 July and 2 August. The production team is looking for lively, knowledgable, upfront people to join the Prommers Panel during these broadcasts.

The Prommers Panel, made up of selected members of the Proms audience, gives its opinion live from the Arena of the Royal Albert Hall, enabling viewers to hear the opinions of people who actually go to the concerts and to get a sense of what it's like to be there in the hall.

Could you rate Kyung-Wha Chung's interpretation of the Bruch Violin Concerto? Would you have something to say about the new 'Oriana Collection', matching contemporary composers and poets? What is it like to Prom as opposed to sitting in the stalls?

If you'd like to join the Prommers Panel, then send an email to clare-louise.stuart@bbc.co.uk with your name and telephone number, and your availability between 20 July and 2 August, and tell her a bit about yourself, including the music you like and don't like.

You need to respond to Clare-Louise by Monday 17 June. Places on the Prommers Panel may be subject to audition - the BBC Production team's decision is final!
