If you would be so kind, I would be most interested to hear your views as to whom you feel the most appropriate replacement for Leonard Slatkin as Chief Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra might conceivably be, in the context of a hypothetical situation in which the august personage you have chosen is available and willing to assume that role.
