In reply to: Gallery Mouse 's message, "First cuckoo of spring!" on 16:17:23 21/12/2002

This is confirmed on Scholl's web-page.

My rumours:

21 July - Budapest Festival Orch - Ivan Fischer conducting and Stephen Hough piano - Creatures of Prometheus Overture, Brahms Piano #1 and Rach S2

25 July - Premiere of Ruby's Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra - Allsop conducting and Colin Currie on drums...

28 July - Monteverdi Orch & Choir and Clare College Choir - JEG conducting (obviously)

[ ] July - Bach Choir of Bethlehem (PA) - late night prom premiere of cantata 'I It Am' by Libby Larsen

2 August - BBC Phil/Jarvi - London premiere of Tuur's Violin Concerto (van Keulen) and Prok S6

3 August - Mali Chamber Orchestra/Gilbert - Leif Ove Andsnes returns to give us Mozart PC#9

6 August - the Scottish NYO premieres Sally Beamish's Trumpet Concerto - Hakan Hardenberger soloist

9 August - YPT conducts the NYO

19 August - House band with Slatkin and Evelyn Glennie

27 August - Christine Brewer sings Berg's Seven Early Songs with Mark Wigglesworth (BBC Phil/BBC NOW???)

The New London Chamber Choir will do a concert of Xenakis and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields will premiere Mark O'Connor's Concerto for Violin and Orch with the composer as soloist.
