I am disgusted (REf also the three letters in the Telegraph) and amazed that the BBC should make a decision to modify the last night of the proms to exclude the second half, Sea songs, Britannia, And land of hope and Glory.

This event in its normal format bonds our country together, that is why americans have turned to their country anthem and flag etc - The battle hymn of the republic in St Pauls etc etc. Surely promanaders enjoy both these songs and the base from which they come

The BBC with Nicholas Kenyon and his like have removed and distroyed a method by which we would have demonstrated our countries solidarity in 2001 and all that is to follow.
How can I defend the view of my american business and friends that we are decadent, laid back and spineless?
It is just impossible when Kenyon and Co are spineless liberal praying I expect for the salvation of terrorists. (REf Archbishop of Canterbury Westminster Abbey Falkland conflict)

I have never complained before (and spent two days writing e-mails) but have found that the BBC is a monolith of arbitary decision makers, the like of which did not show the Queen Mothers 100th birthday events - a live event for which Kenyon was also responsible - should he remain in his post?
I would hope that the promenaders would seek to influence the future of the proms especially tomorow and reduce the impact that this man can have.
Maybe an alternative TV channel operator could be found for next year ....... its worth just looking at the Strengths Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats for such a break.
If I can be of any assistance please contact me. I am a member of no political party right or left, love my country and wish to invoke and use the synergy that is created by programs such as the Last Night ..... These help and assist in the reduction of terroism and the mentainance and improvement of our countries identity which over the past years has been low.
