 I appreciate the advanced news, but ignoring Arnold in his 80th year really gets my goat when I think of the amount of performance time given over to Tippett/Maxwell Davies/Birtwistle whenever they met some major age milestone.

This is even harder to believe when Radio 3 are celebrating Arnold as composer of the week around the time of his birthday (October) and are broadcasting the whole cycle of symphonies.

Perhaps they feel that's enough to show they've "done their bit"
