CC, I think you are doing great! You have a great reputation in Caesar III but I understand that Pharaoh is a lot different. However I think pretty soon you will be regarded highly for Pharaoh also. (BTW I started with Pharaoh, then tried C3 but I never really got into it. I guess I missed things that were in Pharaoh and not C3, most notably roadblocks)

Anyway, the major Bast blessing is supposed to fill houses with enough goods to last them 2 years. In practice I think it works a little differently. For food you do seem to get 2 years worth, but if housing continues to evolve and more people are occupying the houses it could get consumed before the 2 years are up. For other goods (pottery, beer, linen and luxury goods) the blessing fills the houses with as much as they can store which itself is based on housing level. For example a spacious appartment will fill to 8 pottery and 8 beer which certainly won't last 2 years. However, as you have seen, if the bazaar contains goods, these are also topped up which extends how long the goods will last. I have found that once the right goods are in the houses and bazaars, Bast major blessings will almost always keep the houses/bazaars fully stocked without having to supply more.

Regards,
Elf
