I read what you wrote, Elf and I went back to aug 1550 before the big crash through lack of beer. It took me 12 tries at reloading before I got the blessing but I did get it. So all my houses have 8 beer, great I am on my way. Neither of the bazaars had any beer because of course I only got 400 and that is long gone into the houses. But I get to mid december and the houses are devolving because of no beer. What am I doing wrong. Now I agree that the beer wouldn't last as long as the food but it was only lasting sep, oct, nov and half dec. Maybe I should try for a month later so that I can get into the next year but they were going down in oct so thats why I tried for the blessing in september. Is there something I missed? I'm sure you said that you didn't have to import any beer. However I will have to open the trade route and import some and I need 8 chariots and 20 granite in 1549.
Where will the money come from? It's a lot like life playing City Building games.
It has put me off this happening. I don't want to go any further without more information. I do not have the money to open the trade route and import the beer in 1550. It's a hard enough year as it is. Thank you for some wise advice.

Thank you also for your kind words. I am the other way around than you. I started with C3 and really love it but just got into pharoah and cleo in order to enter contests on the grounds that what I sow I will reap. i.e. If I help others to have more entries for their contests then I will get more contests of the sort I like i.e C3. I still have not done any good at cleo contests (although I did get second in one at easy level). I still have not managed the tuturial levels in pharoah. They were too hard for me so I have only picked up what I have found out through contests. This contest I have already learnt so many new things.
