Looking good EJ. KR in particular is going up nicely and you made money both years which is good. Actually you had quite a bit of excess profit in 1554 so you could have imported some grain for your poor starving citizens, and/or started on the army.

The SEP 1553 troop request must be met and you must be victorious or the trade route to Gaza will close and you won't be able to get beer. I have experimented a little with this request. 16 academy trained charioteers were victorious and 14 returned. 8 were also victorious but only 3 returned. From this limited data I conclude that sending as many as possible is best, and that you can't get away with much fewer than 8. So you will need to do something with military fairly soon.

Scorpions can be penned in by gardens, but its usually best to do this early before they roam too far. The ones in the NW and in the canyon in the NE are easy, just lay down a line of gardens connecting rocks on each side and the scorpions will be trapped.

The others are more difficult. The two near the location of the 2 gold mines needed to be watched. They will eventually wander towards the little creek and they can then be fenced in without affecting the road from the mines to the Palace. The ones in the SE canyon by the gold mine also need to be watched. Eventually they will wander to the south down the canyon and they can then be fenced in.

Regards,
Elf
