Subject: Bald Eagles

I believe I observed two Bald Eagles mating this past monday, December 29th. The two eagles are the pair that nest on the Maumee River near Rossford/Perrysburg. I had seen the eagles out on their usual perch earlier that morning. When I glanced out the window a little while later, I could see that one was flapping over the top of the other, for about 10 seconds. Unfourtunately, I did not get and binocs or a scope on the birds fast enough to see more clearly. Is it the right time of year for eagle mating? COuld this have been what I saw?
