Harvard with a mild upset of #13 Michigan 13-11. Undefeated Crimson now get Yale, Princeton and UVA in a row. We’ll see quickly. Tigers totally dominate at Rutgers in a supposed tossup game 14-8. Nine men scored. Yale goes west and knocks off #1 Denver 15-13 in a flat even game, each team has at least 3 goals in each quarter, SOG 26-24. As of now, any of these six Ivies (sorry GG) is easily a top ten team on a given day. The league round robin will be a huge slugfest. Denver goes from #1 to EIGHT, Eli from #12 to #10. Whoa, Nellie. A very gritty Army team is ranked #1 for the first time EVER in more than forty years of polls. For the record, Ivies are now Yale 10, undefeated Harvard at 12, Princeton 13, Penn 14, Cornell 15. Why not? (Since “why?” seems infeasible) And they say comedy is dead….. Everyone wants to have the best shooters and light up the scoreboard, but you have to play tough defense, fight for those ground balls, move the ball down the field, and let the attack do their thing. Lacrosse is huge in the NY metro area, but my concern is current players are often not taught the physical aspect of the game. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
