Unfortunately I do not believe the NCAA folks lie awake at night wondering about whether they are treating Columbia fairly, or bigger picture, how to get more mid majors into the tournament at the expense of those big conference teams whose coaches all have heavily incentivized contracts. Princeton, likely a 14 seed, showed the committee (if they were watching) the distance between a 14 seed and a possible at large.
