The downgrading of Ivy football to D1-AA in 1983 has now been made even worse due to the transfer portal and NIL. The best players will either be one or two and dones e.g. Mr. Larry. It's a shame Yale won't have him harassing opposing quarterbacks for another two seasons. Best of luck to a terrific DL.

More likely than players being one and done is that they request to shut it down after four games as freshmen to maintain their redshirt. They then go on to graduate in four years and use their fifth year at the next level.

It's a perfect scenario. Their freshman year is essentially a redshirt season allowing them to get bigger and stronger in the weight room, they collect an Ivy League degree and then enjoy life in the big-time with NIL to boot.

What's not to like? If I had it to do over again, that's exactly what I would do.

Power Five conferences had their spring games streamed and on cable Saturday.

Ivys continue to keep information on their spring football practice and games under wraps as if to not attract attention to the sport.
