Yale outplayed us to be sure, or more accurately our relief pitching collapsed in the two games that we lost. But the Columbia offense is pretty remarkable—no easy outs in that lineup and multiple power hitters. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

Yes, the offense is super and the team is exceeding expectations given loss of our ace and sketchy bullpen. We lead the league in HRs by a wide margin. Cornell is having a very good season, played a tough OOC and also has a lot of offense. Both teams have ERAs above 7. Should be a fun series, especially if you like scoring.

I believe we have scored 12 runs or more 10 times this season and given up 12 or more 10 times. Almost more surprising than scoring 31 is CU throwing a shutout in a midweek game. On to Cornell.
